Overview Access Control Lists

Creating Standard ACLs

Standard access control lists are simple rules that let you permit or deny traffic based on the source address.

Creating Extended ACLs

Extended access control lists go a step further than standard ACLs, and let you permit or deny traffic based on source, destination, port and protocol.

Creating Named ACLs

Named access control lists allow you to modify, and put new statements in the middle of ACLs. Oh, and they also let you give them a name rather than just a number.
